Another Saturday, another serum.
This week’s offering is from One Love Organics.
What is it?
This is a serum from the Active Moisture line, a One Love Organics collaboration with beauty blogger Elizabeth Dehn. Hydration is key to this line which includes cleanser and makeup remover, toner and eye cream.
In brief: the good and the ugly
The ingredient list. It’s full of amazing hydrating ingredients with names I can easily pronounce. (Always a plus in my book!). Included in the ingredients list are sunflower oil, shea butter, sea buckthorn oil, vitamin C (obviously) and Vitamin E.
Great at delivering hydration – no doubt thanks to all the oils in this serum. I sleepily put some on at night once and I woke up to pretty moisturized Goldilocks skin. Not too dry, not too oily. Just right.
This serum is great for day as well. It doesn’t interfere at all with makeup.
Good for most skin types. If you’re sensitive, definitely patch test to see if the oils will affect your skin.
No residue! This oily serum leaves hands dry. It’s a serum that absorbs quickly into the skin so your face isn’t crazy shiny after application.
The cost for this line is a bit too rich for my blood for how much you get.
Proprietary natural and organic fragrance. I talked about this in my review of the line’s makeup remover and cleansing oil. While I can’t really smell anything this time around, it just makes me uneasy not knowing what exactly this entails.
* Can’t speak to the long-term effectiveness of this serum, but since it has Vitamin C it should be able to give you younger looking skin. Coupled with the fact that the oil is going to make you look youthful, since all the oils are so moisturizing.
Hydrated skin is young skin, after all.
Would I purchase?
